Switching from Smash Balloon to SnapWidget

If your Instagram feed has stopped displaying or showing authorization errors, you’re not alone. Instagram occasionally changes its security and API settings, which can break the connection between the Smash Balloon plugin and your website.

This is required because SnapWidget connects to your account through a secure login—not an app token like Smash Balloon.

Step 4: Our Setup Process

1. We’ll log in to your Instagram account securely to generate the widget.

2. The widget will be embedded directly into your site, replacing the previous Smash Balloon feed.

3. Once it’s active, your new feed will automatically update with your latest posts.

This service is included at no additional cost for all Design Shop partners.

Step 5: Contact Us to Switch

If your current Smash Balloon feed is not updating or displaying correctly, we can replace it for you.
