Editing Your Home Page Hero Banner
Update the headline, text, buttons and background photo or video in the big banner at the top of your home page.
Transcript
The hero banner sits at the top of your home page. It has a headline, supporting text, buttons, a background photo or video, and sometimes a row of stats.
- Open your home page and launch Beaver Builder.
- Click the hero banner to open its settings. Stay on the Content tab.
- In the Text section, edit the small line above the headline (the eyebrow), the headline and the supporting text. Your line breaks are kept.
- To show one word in your accent color, wrap it like this:
Play with {a}purpose{/a}. - In the Buttons section, update each button’s label and link.
- In the Background section, choose a new photo from your Media Library.
- Using a video instead? Set Background Type to Video, choose the file, and add a Video Poster image.
- If the banner has a stats row, update the numbers in the Stats Row section.
- Preview on desktop and phone, then click Publish.
Tips
- Every button needs a real link. A button with no link goes nowhere.
- A video file from the Media Library takes priority over a Video URL.
- The poster image shows while the video loads, and on phones that block autoplay (such as iPhones in Low Power Mode).
- If the action drifts out of frame on phones, adjust Video Position X / Y with the phone icon selected.
- Text over the brightest part of a photo or video can be hard to read. Check it before publishing.
