How to Troubleshoot Contact Form Submissions

Learn how to fix contact form issues on your site, whether it uses WPForms, Forminator Pro, Gravity Forms, or the Form Module.

If you’re not receiving contact form submissions, the issue is often related to email delivery or notification settings. Because our sites may use different form tools—WPForms, Forminator Pro, Gravity Forms, or BeaverBuilder’s Form Module—the first step is to identify which one your site is using.

Identify Which Form Plugin or Module You’re Using

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  2. In the left-hand menu, look for one of the following:

    • WPForms – You’ll see “WPForms” listed in the menu.

    • Forminator Pro – You’ll see “Forminator.”

    • Gravity Forms – You’ll see “Forms” listed in the menu.

    • BeaverBuilder Form Module – If none of the above appear, your forms are built directly into BeaverBuilder using the Form Module.

Once you know which tool is powering your forms, you can troubleshoot accordingly.

Test the Form

  • Go to the live page with your form.

  • Submit a test entry.

  • Confirm whether a success message appears after submission.

    • If there’s no success message, the form itself may not be set up correctly.

Check Notification Settings

  • Go to the correct form builder in your WordPress dashboard:

    • WPForms → WPForms > All Forms > Edit > Notifications

    • Forminator Pro → Forminator > Forms > Edit > Email Notifications

    • Gravity Forms → Forms > Settings > Notifications

    • BeaverBuilder Form Module → Edit the page in BeaverBuilder, click the Form Module, and review the Actions After Submit settings.

Make sure:

  • The “To” email address is correct.

  • The “From” email uses your domain email (e.g., info@yoursite.com).

  • Subject and message fields are properly configured.

Check Your Spam or Junk Folder

  • Look in your spam folder for missing emails.

  • Mark them as “Not Spam” so future messages land in your inbox.

  • Add your domain email as a trusted sender in Gmail, Outlook, or other providers.

Contact Support if Issues Persist

If you’ve checked everything and still aren’t receiving submissions:

  • Note which plugin/module your form uses.

  • Collect a screenshot of your form’s notification settings.

  • Record the time/date you tested.

  • Submit a support ticket so we can review further.

Best Practices:

  • Always use a domain-based email for “From” addresses.

  • Test your form monthly to make sure it’s still sending emails.

  • Keep your form plugin updated.
